Hybrid (4 days per week in the office / Monday to Thursday) Develop specialized expertise in major OBD monitors and diagnostic systems; provide technical support across vehicle programs and powertrain technologies. Partner with program and commodity calibration teams to deliver OBD calibrations, design verification (DV) signoffs, and other program deliverables on time and with quality. Support OBD feature calibration and vehicle testing, including data collection and processing, to meet applicable monitoring requirements and address warranty improvement actions. Analyze development, signoff, and quality data to identify hardware, software, or calibration concerns; determine root causes; and support effective solutions. Develop or improve data-processing tools and scripts to enable efficient analysis, evaluate diagnostic robustness, and establish clear measures of success. Improve calibration processes and documentation, including calibration direction and guidelines, release error-proofing, and self-certification summary templates. Collaborate with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), M-HIL, and computer-aided engineering (CAE) teams on virtual vehicle diagnostic trouble code (DTC) fault and clearing demonstrations. Support OBD sensitivity validation and development trips, assess diagnostic robustness against measures of success, and assist calibration teams with testing at remote locations as needed. Work with the compliance team to identify and resolve errors in production vehicle evaluation (PVE) DV fault demonstrations and improve related processes. Perform and document required OBD signoff and self-certification testing, and assist with the development of Diagnostic Code Demonstration Methods (DDMs). Prepare OBD calibration communications and technical documentation.
