Responsibilities The OB Technician performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to assist and support the organization and function of the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP). Works cooperatively with and under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides direct care to patient of various ages (neonate, adolescent, adult). Interacts with physicians, patients, families/significant others, hospital staff and community agencies in providing basic care. Is responsible for completion and processing of the birth certificates, and "Declaration of Paternity" forms. This is a per-diem position, 1 year of experience is preferred Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent 2. BLS Certification within 30 days and maintain current 3. Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program, Certified Surgical Scrub Technician or equivalent required. (State Specific) Pay Transparency St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $26.09 to $31.16. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
