NWS Human Anatomy and Physiology Teaching Assistant - HBIO

Purpose of Position: The student will be assisting faculty as they instruct and facilitate learning for students enrolled in the Human Anatomy and Physiology Course (HBIO230 and HBIO231).

Job Duties/Description: The student and course coordinator will meet weekly (1-2 hours) to prepare for lab. The student will then assist in one lab period per week (3 hours) and assist with the grading of laboratory exams and assignments. (5 hours per week x 13 week = 65 total hours)

Qualifications:

• Pacific University Undergraduate student
• Qualifies for federal work study funding for the 2026-27 academic year (preferred, but not required)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• Able to manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with FERPA regulations and Pacific University's policies and procedures
• Possesses good oral and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills including the ability to work with diverse populations of students, staff, faculty, and community members
• Self-motivated
• Serves as an information source to students, staff, faculty, and community members
• Willing to ask questions
