Responsibilities & Requirements
Position duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responding to inquiries regarding billing and collection processing in compliance with CBO Patient Financial Services departmental policies and procedures.
- Working with patients and other callers in response to both hospital and physician billing questions.
- Utilizing a working knowledge of all insurance payers to answer patient questions.
- Demonstrating a high level of knowledge regarding the types of hospital and professional services.
- Possessing a strong understanding of how denials impact services related to the patients benefit/coverage plan.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school Diploma.
- 3 years previous experience in hospital or physician settings.
- Previous experience in patient accounting, medical billing, and medical terminology.
