Job DescriptionTechnician support of NVH / Chassis dyno testing
Technician - Noise and Vibration / Chassis Dyno
Description
The technician will be responsible for working within the General Motors (GM) Noise and Vibration / Chassis Dyno Lab to ensure 1st time quality and on-time delivery of test data for the various test areas. Support various engineering groups that are responsible for meeting federal requirements and GM internal requirements. Technicians need to demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle multiple projects with minimal supervision all while working with various organizations during the vehicle development process. This Opportunity will offer positions on all three shifts.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily breakdown - they run a schedule and work ticket system, engineering team will schedule time in the dyno, schedule is posted online, they will be assigned a work ticket, getting everything ready to test, sometimes bounce between cells, might be working in one dyno cell and the tech might go to another cell to assist another team
Number of tickets approx: 1-5 in a week, but the number of tests for each ticket can vary depending on what the data shows and what they need to change based on the data
Interaction level - working a lot with the engineering team and other techs
Business Group - Noise and vibration testing in the Chassis dyno role, full vehicle test, bring the vehicle in center it on the dyno, strap it down, work with the engineer team to run through certain drive cycles to simulate being out on the road systems, collect the data, review the data and change things if needed, might need to change a part (door trim, mount, etc)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
