Job Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Engage with applicants to gather crucial information on financial status and legal residency.
  • Analyze records to determine eligibility and explain guidelines, rights, and obligations.
    Collaborate with nutritionists/dietitians by collecting dietary intake information for counseling.
  • Educate communities through group nutrition sessions, food preparation, and meal planning.
  • Innovate by developing and implementing nutrition education plans and materials.
    Empower clients with food management and nutrition information at clinics and home visits.
  • Assess client needs and refer them to appropriate professionals when necessary.
    Document all interactions and progress, ensuring accurate records.
  • Support clients in meal planning for balanced diets and provide guidance on food shopping techniques.
  • Participate in community health fairs to promote program enrollment and healthy living.

Qualifications

Possession of an Associate's degree from an accredited college with a major course of study in nutrition care or dietetics.

Valid New Jersey driver's license.
