Join us for a unique clinical immersion experience for student nurses to enhance nursing skills and gain additional exposure to clinical healthcare specialties. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.

Are you a nursing school student graduating in May or December 2027? Join us for a unique clinical immersion experience for student nurses to enhance nursing skills and gain additional exposure to clinical healthcare specialties. As a Magnet Designated organization, participants will receive top notch instruction and guidance for their future success as a Registered Nurse. Students will have the opportunity to participate in share time on a unit of interest.

Responsibilities:

Participants can expect:

• Hands on skills practice
• Individualized learning assessments and plans
• Mentoring by experienced Mercy nurses
• Fun networking activities with cohort participants and Mercy nurses
• Access to Nurse Educators
• Career pathway assistance
• Opportunity to explore future nursing employment at Mercy

We will be holding two cohorts in January 2027. The first is January 4th - 8th and the second is January 18th - 22nd. You must be available for the entire week of one of the cohorts in order to participate. 

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in Nursing School with an expected graduation date in 2027.

• A valid CNA license is required by the beginning of the program.

• BLS CPR required.
