Evergreen Public Schools (EPS) offers the following to eligible employees who work at least 630 hours in a school year:
Employees may be eligible for employer-employee funded retirement benefits through Department of Retirement Services (DRS).
EPS offers paid holidays and paid time off, including but not limited to, sick, vacation, personal, religious, and bereavement leave. Additional negotiated leave options can be found in the associated Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for this position Evergreen Education Association.
Certificated positions may have additional pay provisions above what is represented on the salary schedule such as, but not limited to TRI pay, In-Service days, and Extended Contracts, all in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) as negotiated.

Essential Functions:
Student leadership, employability skills and project-based learning are an integral part of the program and will be incorporated into the curriculum and extended beyond the school day. Teacher responsibilities include:
Qualifications:
Hold a current WA State Registered Nurse (RN) certification.
Must qualify for or hold a valid Washington State Career and Technical Education Teacher Certification in Worksite Learning.
Must qualify for or hold a valid Washington State Career and Technical Education Teaching Certificate.
6,000 hours of work experience as RN.
Completion of alternative certification program (8 classes) in two years.
Qualify for a Type II Driver's License. Industry (non-teaching) hours:
Minimum of three years' experience (6,000 hours) as RN.
Minimum of one-year experience within the past three years in caring for elderly or chronically ill of any age or both.
Completed or willingness to complete all CCTE required coursework for certification.
Completion of the courses to teach the required units of the certified nursing assistant program curriculum within the first year of being hired (if needed).
Completion of the required Department of Health courses to administer student skill tests for their CNA certificate upon earning their program completion certificate within the first year of being hired (if needed).
Demonstrated ability to function as a collaborative team member.
Demonstrated ability to partner with the community and facilitate an industry-specific advisory committee.
Demonstrated ability to extend instruction beyond the classroom into the community.
Demonstrated ability to relate to and empathize with young people.
Demonstrated ability to incorporate Washington Career and Technical Education Program Standards and Academic State Standards into curriculum.
Commitment to continuous technical and professional upgrading through classes, workshops, seminars, conference participation and summer industry employment (40 hours every 5 years).
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with post-secondary partners to develop dual credit opportunities for high school students.
Prior teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred.
