    Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing Manager in Tyler, TX.

Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
    Responsibilities:

    The nurse manager will promote the mission and values of the organization and serve as an active advocate for providing quality patient care, excellent customer service, and efficient healthcare. As a member of the management team, the nurse manager will be involved in system planning, budgeting, manpower planning, and program development to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care. 

    Qualifications:

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
    • Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing
    • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
    • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of nursing and healthcare administration
    • Demonstrated ability to make sound clinical assessments and institute safe and efficacious care within the structure of a collaborative health team
    • Considerable knowledge of requirements by federal, state, or regulatory bodies
    • Considerable knowledge of effective workforce utilization
    • Knowledge of general financial management

     Preferred Job Requirements: 

    • 3+ years of clinical nursing experience in cardiac care and/or critical care
    • Certification in a clinical specialty
    • Current ACLS
