Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region's only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. ResponsibilitiesThe nurse manager will promote the mission and values of the organization and serve as an active advocate for providing quality patient care, excellent customer service, and efficient healthcare. As a member of the management team, the nurse manager will be involved in system planning, budgeting, manpower planning, and program development to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care. QualificationsJob Requirements:Bachelor's in nursing from an accredited school of nursingCurrent RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of NursingBLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient careConsiderable knowledge of principles and practices of nursing and healthcare administrationDemonstrated ability to make sound clinical assessments and institute safe and efficacious care within the structure of a collaborative health teamConsiderable knowledge of requirements by federal, state, or regulatory bodiesConsiderable knowledge of effective workforce utilizationKnowledge of general financial management Preferred Job Requirements: 3+ years of clinical nursing experience in cardiac care and/or critical careCertification in a clinical specialtyCurrent ACLS #LI-AG1
