Job Summary:
Manage and lead a Labor & Delivery unit during the day shift.
Eligible external candidates may receive a hiring bonus and relocation support.
Responsible for clinical and operational activities in line with the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Collaborate with L&D and Women & Children leadership teams.
Share responsibility for quality, staffing, finance, and patient/caregiver experience.
Report directly to the Senior L&D Manager.
Work closely with the Senior Manager and Clinical Supervisor to oversee department operations.
Key Priorities:
Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives (e.g., TEAM Birth, Doula, and Cultural Navigator programs).
Focus on quality metrics such as NTSV, working with RN teams for improvement.
Partner with CNS, Perinatal Educator, and staff to implement evidence-based practices.
Interview, hire, and mentor staff RNs, travelers, and residency/fellowship candidates.
Must-Haves:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school, or commitment to obtain within 2 years.
Active Washington RN License (upon hire).
BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).
Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience.
