The Nursing Department of the University of South Dakota (USD) invites applications for a 9-month full-time nursing faculty position for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the Vermillion campus.

This position includes responsibility for delivering high-quality classroom and clinical instruction; guiding students in the development of clinical judgment; and contributing to curriculum design and evaluation.

The ideal candidate brings strong clinical expertise in medical surgical nursing, excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently. A commitment to student success and the ability to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment are essential.

Required Qualifications Current, unencumbered RN license and eligibility for licensure in South Dakota. Minimum of a masters degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program prior to starting the position.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in medical surgical nursing. Experience teaching in a baccalaureate program. Strong nursing background with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team. Ability to work with technology.

USD Nursing is one of ten programs within the USD School of Health Sciences, offering a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing Degree in Vermillion and Sioux Falls, and an RN-BSN program, a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice, and an online MSN and DNP programs. The School of Health Sciences and the USD/Sanford School of Medicine comprise the Division of Health Affairs.
