The Nursing Adjunct Instructor has primary responsibility for the didactic instruction in the nursing program. Both the LPN and LPN-RN ADN programs are conducted during the daytime hours. This person will work with and report to the Director of Nursing to schedule coursework, testing, and receive general support of the program.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruction in the Highland Community College nursing program, including, but not limited to supervising, tutoring, and mentoring students.
  • Submit daily attendance in courses taught.
  • Submit midterm and final grades in LMS.
  • Post and follow course syllabus.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • PN Program: BSN required; MSN preferred
  • RN Program: MSN required for ADN program
  • Unencumbered KS nursing license or a compact license from another state
  • The ability to communicate well and assist students in gaining practice and knowledge in the classroom
  • The candidate will also demonstrate the traits of reliable, honest, punctuality, initiative, and creativity.
  • This position must be able to pass a background check.
