    Summary of Duties

    Summary of Duties: Assist and work at the direction of a faculty member providing instruction in a clinical setting in which nursing care is delivered to an individual or group of individuals.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Facilitate clinical instruction of nursing students for 4-12 contact hours per week.

    • Provide input to nursing students achievement and progress according to Chapter 4723-5-19 of the Ohio Administrative Code.

    • Supervise students in the clinical setting according to Chapter 4723-5-20 Section (E), of the Ohio Revised Code.

    • Be committed to implementation of the philosophy and conceptual framework of the Nursing Program.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Experience, Skills & Abilities

    Requires:

    • Requires two or more years experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.
    • Must be willing and able to work evening and weekend hours if needed and to teach clinical in outlying clinical facilities.
    • Requires an appreciation for and understanding of the Community College mission.

    Preferred:

    • Prior clinical teaching experience in a practical nursing, associate degree program, or community college.

    Education & Certifications

    ADN Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelors' Degree in Nursing (BSN).
    • Graduate of an approved registered nursing education program.
    • Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio or Multi-State license that is valid in the State of Ohio.

    OR

    PN Educational Requirements:

    • Associates' Degree in Nursing (ADN).
    • Graduate of an approved registered nursing education program.
    • Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio or Multi-State license that is valid in the State of Ohio.

    This position is not eligible for Rhodes State College benefits with the exception of a STRS or OPERS contribution.
