    Minimum Qualifications:

     

    If competency is achieved (attainment of competency test score required by department management) and upon successful completion of departmental orientation, the employee will be promoted to Nursing Assistant

    If competency is not achieved, employee must be moved out of this position or terminated in accordance with IH policy and procedures

    Responsibilities:

    To receive training to competently assist in the continuity of patient care delivery by providing direct personal care, rehabilitative measures, and supportive services.

    Nursing Assistant Training Program for all locations in Mobile and Baldwin County

     

    Selected individuals will receive a 4 week nursing assistant education and training program

     

    2 weeks of classroom instruction (Mon-Friday 8am to 4:30pm) and hands on skills practice and

    2 weeks of bedside/patient care skills building (12 hour shifts)

     

    All program graduates will sign a 12 month work commitment.
