Role Summary
The Nursing Assistant works under the direction of the professional nursing staff to provide
direct resident care within the Skilled Nursing Unit. This role assists residents with
activities of daily living, supports individualized care plans, and helps maintain a safe,
comfortable, and respectful environment for residents and their families.

Participates in team conferences and care planning.
Prepares residents for meals, assists in feeding.
Maintains resident''s rights.
Makes rounds. Anticipates resident needs and responds to call lights.
Reports to appropriate nursing personnel pertinent information including any
changes observed in condition or behavior of resident.
Provides input into resident care plans.
Assists in maintaining safe and clean environment.
Other duties assigned, reasonably related.
Assists in orientation of nursing assistants.
Completes daily documentation.
Keeps informed of fire, safety, and disaster programs.
Attends designated in-service programs.
Participates in Performance Improvement activities.
Attends staff meetings.
