Penda Aiken Inc. is a staffing firm located in Brooklyn, New York. Our client is a New York State Agency located in Marcy, NY, and is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Registered Nurses (RN) to join their team.

This is a fast-paced role requiring high reliability, punctuality, and the ability to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care, including assisting patients with daily living activities (eating, dressing, personal hygiene, and bathing) as needed.

  • Vital Signs & Assessment: Accurately measure, record, and monitor patient vital signs and physical conditions on a regular schedule.

  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely in accordance with medical orders and facility protocols.

  • Clinical Communication & Reporting: Observe and promptly report changes in patient behavior, physical condition, or health status to supervising medical staff and physicians.

  • Shift Availability: Maintain flexibility to work designated shifts, including 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active and unencumbered New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • Experience: Clinical nursing experience in direct care, residential care, or acute healthcare settings.

  • Clinical Competencies: Strong clinical assessment skills, precise medication administration expertise, and ability to handle changing patient needs.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to ensure seamless clinical reporting and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Compliance: Strict adherence to HIPAA, patient privacy guidelines, and state healthcare standards.
