Nightingale's List is seeking a travel nurse RN Correctional Clinical Nurse Coordinator Supervisor for a travel nursing job in Cal City, California.
What the job is: Runs daily nursing operations in the medical unit, reports to the HSA. Supervises RNs, LVNs, and unlicensed staff. Schedules, trains, evaluates, handles discipline and leave. Also works the floor: triage, assessments, med pass, emergencies, intakes. Helps the HSA with chart audits, accreditation prep (NCCHC/ACA), pharmacy compliance, and incident reports.
Requirements:
- Active California RN license (CA is non-compact, a multistate license from another state does not qualify)
- At least 1 year of clinical supervisory experience (charge nurse, house supervisor, unit manager)
- Corrections experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license (required, not just preferred)
- US citizenship, required for federal facility clearance
- Able to pass a thorough background and credit investigation plus fingerprinting
- Clearance is running 4 to 6 weeks; an expedited process is in place for this site
- Permanent address more than 70 miles from California City (LA metro, Fresno, Las Vegas are fine; Tehachapi, Lancaster, Palmdale are too close; Bakersfield is borderline, check the exact address)
