We are actively hiring a Nurse Supervisor, Oncology to support our Valkyrie Clinical Trials Century City, Los Angeles site.
LOCATION: Onsite, Century City, Los Angeles, CA
FLSA: Non-Exempt
HOURS: Monday to Friday, Day Shift, 40 hours per week
COMPENSATION: $75-$90 per hour (depending on experience)
PURPOSE: The Nurse Supervisor leads and oversees daily nursing operations in an oncology clinical research environment, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination of nursing staff. This role combines clinical nursing oversight with leadership responsibilities, coordinating clinic and infusion workflows, acting as a liaison between nursing staff, providers, clinical research staff, and administration. Serves as a lead infusion nurse, including performing IV infusions, and/or injections of blinded and unblinded study drugs, obtaining blood specimens, and maintaining accurate source documentation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
A. Work is performed on-site in an outpatient clinical office setting.
B. Local travel may be required to other sites as applicable.
C. Daily computer use.
D. Exposure to human bodily fluids.
E. Participant/Patient care.
F. Occasional evening and weekend work schedules.
G. Ability to properly lift thirty-five pounds and occasionally more than thirty-five pounds.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
A. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
B. Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
C. Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.
D. ONS/ONCC certification strongly preferred.
E. GCP certification preferred.
F. BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1+ years of supervisory or charge nurse experience. Oncology clinical research experience required.
Knowledge and Skills:
A. Strong working knowledge of clinical research methods and operations.
B. Familiarity with chemotherapy/biotherapy administration standards and oncology regulatory requirements.
C. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
D. Excellent clinical nursing skills, including proficiency in IV infusion, vascular access, port care, injections, and phlebotomy required.
E. Strong leadership and process improvement skills.
F. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
G. Strong collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
H. Excellent computer skills to include EMR/HER platforms, Office365 and other products.
I. Experience in writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures.
J. Strong problem solving, judgment, critical thinking, risk assessment and impact analysis abilities.
K. Flexible, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize competing demands.
L. Ability to think independently and influence when appropriate.
