Job Description:
POSITION: Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 1:1 Student Support - Housatonic Valley Regional High School | Falls Village, CT
Region One School District is seeking a caring, dependable, and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide substitute 1:1 nursing support for a student with complex medical needs at Housatonic Valley Regional High School.
Position Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
Ability to move frequently throughout the school building and campus, including walking, standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
Must be able to lift, move, and carry objects or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. and pivot 130 lbs.
Ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and repositioning students with limited mobility, which may involve using transfer aids (e.g., gait belts, lifts).
Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for tasks like administering injections, handling medical equipment, performing G-tube feedings, and other precise procedures. Ability to move quickly and adapt physically in emergencies, such as kneeling to provide CPR, assisting a student experiencing a seizure, or responding to a student falling.
Schedule:
This is a substitute position based at Housatonic Valley Regional High School in Falls Village, Connecticut. Assignments will generally follow the students school-day schedule and will be based on the need for substitute nursing coverage.
Salary: $32.00 per hour
