Registered Nurse (RN) – Lisle, IL
$50–$55 per Hour | Full-Time | School-Based
Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff!
PediaStaff is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support students with complex medical and special education needs in the Lisle, IL area. This full-time position is split between two nearby therapeutic school locations, providing classroom nursing support to students with a variety of medical needs.
Position Details
- Location: Lisle, IL area (two school locations less than 3 miles apart)
- Pay Rate: $50–$55 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7 hours per day
- Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: May 28, 2027
- Setting: Special education classrooms and transition programs
- Split Assignment: Approximately 2.5 days per week at each location, with scheduling dependent on student attendance and staffing needs.
- Hours: Generally between 8:00 AM–3:30 PM, with possible adjustments for student transportation needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students with complex medical and special education needs.
- Administer medications, tube feedings, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor and manage students with seizure disorders and diabetes.
- Provide emergency care and administer rescue medications as needed.
- Support individualized student healthcare plans.
- Provide classroom nursing support and potentially accompany students during school transportation.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and special education teams.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and student health records.
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license required.
- Minimum 1 year of professional RN experience required.
- Pediatric nursing experience required.
- Hands-on experience with tube feedings, seizure management, and diabetic care required.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs preferred.
- Trach care, suctioning, and ventilator experience are a plus!
- Comfortable working across two nearby school locations.
