    Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian Nurse Practitioner - Perioperative/Patient Care Coordinator - at Naval Medical Center San Diego in California.

     

     

    Position Highlights:

     

    • Outstanding work/life balance: Services Shall be provided Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0630 – 1500 hours 
    • 8-hour Shifts with 30-minute lunch break.

    Requirements:

     

    • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
    • Minimum of 5 years of advanced practice provider experience, including at least 3 years in a surgical or procedural subspecialty (e.g., maxillofacial surgery, ENT, plastic surgery, trauma, head and neck oncology preferred)
    • Demonstrated experience managing complex perioperative patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
    • Experience coordinating care for multidisciplinary and high-acuity patient populations
    • Proficiency in ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies and prescribing medications per institutional policy Leadership & Operational Skills
    • Experience in care coordination, case management, or clinical program support
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Experience overseeing or mentoring clinical support staff and contributing to efficient clinic operations.
    • Education: Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
    • Licensure: Possess a current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in any U.S. jurisdiction.
    • DEA registration & BLS certification
