Hennepin Healthcare Women''s Health has a current part-time opening (0.6 FTE) for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Most patient contact hours would be in our Women''s Health outpatient clinic but may include some inpatient responsibilities as well. The position would work between M - F daytime hours (schedule to be determined based on department and candidate needs).

At Hennepin Healthcare you will enjoy the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team of obstetrician/gynecologists, maternal fetal medicine sub-specialist(s) and certified nurse midwives.

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients across the reproductive lifespan including well person care and mental health care.
  • Provide prenatal and post-partum care to low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic gynecologic conditions.
  • Provide contraceptive counseling and perform contraceptive procedures.
  • Perform office-based gynecologic procedures.
  • Perform point of care ultrasound.
  • Evaluate stable obstetric or gynecologic inpatients as part of the inpatient care team as needed.
  • Evaluate and address physical, social, and environmental factors which impact a patient's health.
  • Consult and collaborate with physicians regarding obstetric and gynecologic patients, including subspecialists for high-risk pregnancies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master''s degree in Physician Assistant (PA) studies or Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) issued by the State of Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications

  • Women''s Health NP certification preferred for NP candidates
  • Prior women''s health experience preferred for PA candidates
