Job Description:

Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct physical examinations and record patient medical histories. 
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies. 
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including prescribing medications and therapies. 
  • Perform procedures, such as suturing wounds and administering injections. 
  • Provide patient education on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices. 
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records. 

Requirements: 
  • Nurse Practitioner license in VA. 
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. 
  • Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices. 
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assess patient conditions accurately. 
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. 
  • Experience using electronic health record systems, such as ECW or similar platforms. 
  • Ability to perform physical examinations and assess vital signs accurately. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Prior experience in primary care or a related field is preferred.
  • Interest in clinical research is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time.

Pay: Starting at $65.00 per hour. 

Expected hours: 20-36 per week.

  • Family Medicine.  

License/Certification: 
  • PALS Certification (Required). 
  • ACLS Certification (Required).
