We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support our Internal Medicine clinic in Long Beach, CA.
Job Type: Part-time, Direct hire
Pay: $65-80 per hour
Hours: Thursdays, 8:30am-5pm & Fridays, 8:30am - 12:00pm to start, open to increase hours
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care under the supervision of a physician, with a focus on both acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Perform physical examinations, medical histories, and ongoing assessments for patients with a variety of internal medicine concerns.
- Develop, manage, and adjust individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modification, and preventive care strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate referrals, specialty consultations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Accurately document patient encounters, progress notes, and treatment updates in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging, screenings) relevant to internal medicine and age-specific patient needs.
Requirements:
- ActiveNursePractitioner(NP)orPhysicianAssistant(PA)licenseinthestateofCalifornia
- Minimum of1yearofclinicalexperienceasanNPorPA.
- Current BasicLifeSupport(BLS)certification
- Interest inholistic,integrative,andfunctionalmedicine.
- Open tolearningandincorporatingfunctionalmedicineprinciplesintopatientcare.
- Familiarity withnutraceuticals,vitamins,supplements,andevidence-basedintegrativetherapiesispreferred.
- Interest inhealthoptimization,preventivemedicine,wellness,andfitness.
- Bilingual, aplusbutnotrequired.
