Description:
• Join our team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in endocrinology.
• This full-time position is based in the Bronx, NY, and focuses on outpatient care with potential inpatient consultations.
• Responsibilities include managing endocrine disorders and utilizing general medical technology.
Requirements:
• Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams for endocrine conditions.
• Evaluate and manage patients with various metabolic diseases.
• Adjust and initiate medications under collaborative protocols.
• Interpret diagnostic tests relevant to endocrine pathology.
• Provide patient education on disease processes and self-management techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality care.
• Document clinical findings and treatment plans in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master's degree, or Master's/Doctorate in Nursing.
• Active state license and board certification as a PA or NP.
• DEA license and state prescriptive authority.
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in endocrinology or internal medicine preferred.
• Experience with diabetes management technology is highly desirable.
