A Brief Overview
Join the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where you will be part of a highly specialized team caring for infants, children, adolescents, and adults with congenital heart disease. Our team performs more than 1,400 cardiac catheterization procedures each year, utilizing advanced technology and innovative techniques to diagnose and treat complex congenital heart conditions.
As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will collaborate closely with world-leading interventional cardiologists and a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a highly specialized environment while contributing to CHOP's commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, research, and education.
The Cardiac Catheterization Lab treats a broad range of congenital and acquired cardiac conditions, including aortic stenosis, atrial septal defects, pulmonary stenosis, patent ductus arteriosus, single ventricle heart defects, Tetralogy of Fallot, and other complex congenital heart conditions.
CHOP is also at the forefront of developing and advancing minimally invasive cardiac procedures, offering patients innovative treatment options that can reduce or eliminate the need for open-heart surgery. Our commitment to research and clinical trials provides APPs with opportunities to contribute to advances in pediatric cardiac care and improve outcomes for patients with complex heart disease.
