This well-established Family Medicine practice is seeking a full-time, licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team. This is a thriving practice with a large patient base. The successful candidate must be willing to work independently in a clinical setting, as the NP/PA will be responsible for the successful management and care coordination of his/her assigned patient population. While experience is preferred, we are open to training a new graduate. There is always a physician available for consultation.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assess patients' needs, order or perform tests, interpret results and offer diagnosis and education; order prescriptions and referrals as needed
  • Communicate with collaborating physician regarding patient care
  • Chart visit notes in an electronic medical record in a timely fashion

The position is structured as follows:

  • Full-time
  • Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • NO evening or weekend clinic hours
  • Shared call, every 6 – 7 weeks

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current California NP or PA License
  • Unencumbered DEA License (withing 30 days of hire)
  • ACLS/BLS Certification
  • Self-motivated, directed, flexible and a team player
  • Outgoing and engaging personality
  • Energetic and enthusiastic about career growth and development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive outcomes-based patient treatment plans
  • Ability to counsel patients concerning medical and psychological/psychiatric conditions, treatment plans, and behavior modification.
  • Around 23-25 visits per day when fully trained.

Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000 per year base salary, depending on experience.
