Position Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner Partnership Director will lead national partnership expansion to drive student enrollment and facilitate high-quality clinical placement opportunities for nursing programs. This role is responsible for building strategic relationships with healthcare organizations, managing a structured sales process, and ensuring partnerships align with regulatory and accreditation standards. The Director will collaborate cross-functionally to support enrollment growth, clinical capacity, and program success.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development & Sales Process Execution

Identify, engage, and secure partnerships with healthcare organizations, businesses and nursing assocations using a defined sales process, including prospecting, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing. Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity, pipeline, and partnership data within a CRM system to support forecasting and performance tracking.

Clinical Placement Strategy

Facilitate a national clinical placement strategy to ensure sufficient, high-quality clinical sites for nurse practitioner students. Partner with healthcare organizations to expand preceptor networks, increase clinical capacity, and align placements with program and student needs.

Regulatory & Accreditation Compliance

Maintain expertise in accreditation standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., state boards of nursing, clinical hour requirements, and applicable accrediting bodies) to ensure all partnerships and clinical placements meet compliance expectations. Support institutional readiness for audits and program approvals related to clinical education.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders-including admissions, marketing, academic leadership, clinical coordination teams, and account managers-to align partnership strategies with enrollment goals, program requirements, and student outcomes.

Market Engagement & Representation

Represent the university at national conferences, associations, and industry events to build relationships, generate partnership opportunities, and enhance brand visibility. Identify and participate in speaking and sponsorship opportunities that support strategic growth.

Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor account managers responsible for regional partnership development, ensuring alignment to national strategy and consistent execution of the sales process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in nursing, healthcare, or related field preferred
  • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner highly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in nursing, healthcare partnerships, or business development
  • 3+ years of experience in nursing education or clinical program administration
  • Demonstrated success managing a structured sales process and partnership pipeline
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar) for pipeline tracking, reporting, and relationship management
  • Strong knowledge of clinical placement requirements, accreditation standards, and regulatory frameworks in nursing education
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% nationally
