Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ

Practice medicine within the scope of license, training, and credentialingÂ
Practice medicine in accordance with the current standards of careÂ
Practice medicine in accordance with the quality criteria adopted by the Medical Staff BylawsÂ
Promote a safety-conscious workplaceÂ
Evaluate and follow up with patientsÂ
Complete patient charting and all required paperwork in a timely mannerÂ
Participate in the development and/or review of office policies and support the Practice Manager in their dutiesÂ
Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served by demonstrating a strong working knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life spanÂ
Communicate appropriately with the person served, regardless of ageÂ
Attend required hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-servicesÂ
Demonstrate a commitment to flexible work scheduling when necessary to ensure patient careÂ
QualificationsÂ
Education and ExperienceÂ
Minimum Required Education: Graduation from an accredited Physician's Assisting program with successful completion of the National Certifying Examination administered by the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with successful completion of the National Certifying Examination.Â
Preferred Education: Not applicableÂ
Experience: 2+ years as a Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner, is preferredÂ
Certificates, Licenses.RegistrationsÂ
Applicant must possess a current, unrestricted license to work as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia and/or the State of North Carolina, a current DEA certification without restrictions, and BLSÂ
