Summary:
MyMichigan Health has an excellent opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the growing Trauma and General Surgery Team in Saginaw, Michigan!
- Full time, day shift
- 7 days on, 7 days off
Responsibilities:
- Respond to trauma activations and perform admissions and consults for the trauma and general surgery team, as well as interpretation/treatment of testing and daily rounding
- First call for ER consults, activations and nursing questions
- Bedside procedures including chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, laceration repair
- Variety of patient care, including ICU management, step down and general floor level patients
- Mostly inpatient, with occasional clinic.
Certifications and Licensures:
- AHA approved BLS Certification
- AHA approved ACLS Certification
- ATLS Certification required prior to completion of orientation
Required Education:
- Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
- One year of experience with surgical specialties preferred, new grads will be considered
