Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) - Inpatient Cardiology
Location: Albany, NY
Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time | Swing Shift & Overnight Options
Compensation: Up to $170,000/year, depending on schedule and experience

A well-established cardiovascular practice in the Albany, NY area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its growing Inpatient Cardiology team.
This is a hospital-based position focused exclusively on inpatient cardiology care. You will work closely with cardiologists, hospital physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to provide high-quality care to hospitalized cardiac patients.
This opportunity is open to both experienced providers and qualified new graduates who are interested in building a long-term career in inpatient cardiology.
A cardiologist is always available on-call for urgent clinical support, providing an excellent collaborative environment for providers.
Schedule & Compensation
Part-Time - Swing Shift
•24-30 hours per week
•$60-$65/hour
Full-Time - Swing Shift
•$125,000-$135,000 annually, depending on experience
Full-Time - Overnight/Night Shift
•3 shifts per week
•Two 14-hour shifts + one 12-hour shift
•Approximately 38-40 hours per week
•$150,000-$170,000 annually, depending on experience
Scheduling:
•Flexible scheduling can be discussed
•Primarily overnight coverage for the full-time night position
•Occasional daytime shifts may be available, typically 8:00 AM-6:00 PM
•Rotating weekends and holidays
•Schedule options may vary based on department needs
What You'll Do
As an Inpatient Cardiology NP/PA, you will:
•Manage hospitalized cardiology patients
•Perform routine and urgent cardiac consultations
•Respond to hospital pages and patient care needs
•Assess patients and develop appropriate treatment plans
•Monitor patients and respond to changes in clinical condition
•Collaborate closely with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and hospital staff
•Provide patient-centered inpatient cardiac care
•Communicate clinical findings and treatment recommendations with the care team
•Help ensure timely and high-quality care for patients throughout their hospital stay
Requirements
Required:
•Active New York State NP or PA license
•Current board certification
•Current BLS certification
•Current ACLS certification
•Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
•Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based environment
•Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team
Preferred:
•Inpatient cardiology experience
•Critical care experience
•Hospital-based APP experience
