  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Inpatient clinical hours + occasional weekend call)
  • Hours/Week: 40+ hours (full-time with guaranteed 10 hours per day)
  • Employment Type: Locum/Contract assignment
  • Licensure/Certs: Active WA license or IMLC, DEA required, BC certification preferred
  • Experience: Experienced Neurosurgery NP or PA, with or without first assist experience

What You’ll Do
  • Provide inpatient neurosurgery coverage, including rounding and patient assessments
  • Attend to pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Manage daily inpatient clinical responsibilities and documentation
  • Participate in occasional weekend beeper call (12-hour shifts Saturday and Sunday)
  • Support neurosurgery team with care coordination and patient management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
What You Need
Required:
  • Active WA license or IMLC
  • DEA certification
  • BC certification in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Prior experience in neurosurgery or critical care settings (minimum 3+ years preferred)
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently

Preferred:
  • First assist experience in neurosurgery (not mandatory)
  • Experience rounding on complex inpatient populations
  • Ability to handle high-acuity cases and multidisciplinary coordination
