Position Highlights
Critical Care / ICU Focus - Provide high-acuity care in an inpatient ICU setting
Nocturnist Schedule - Monday-Friday, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM (No call required)
Manageable Patient Load - Average ~12 patients per shift
Diverse Clinical Responsibilities:
oInpatient rounding (new & established patients)
oHospital consults
oPre/post-operative care
oIn-basket management
Procedural Opportunities - Perform central lines and arterial lines
Structured Mentorship Program -
o12-18 month transition support with supervising physician
oFormal onboarding, training milestones, and peer mentorship
Preferred Experience: Minimum of one year of Advanced Practice Provider experience in an Acute Care, Critical Care, or ICU setting.
Supportive Care Team - Work alongside RNs and dedicated department support staff
Required Certifications - ACLS, BLS, DEA

The NP Intensivist Medicine is a licensed, certified, non-physician healthcare provider. They provide direct patient care and have prescriptive authority. They are credentialed, privileged, and billed as independent providers by Medicare and Medicaid. The Advanced Practice Provider offers medical care based on the supervising physician's scope of practice. Intensivist Medicine providers work in critical care settings. They manage patients by rounding, performing procedures, and handling hospital admissions and discharges.

QUALIFICATIONS
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Acute Care Nrs Pract Cert (ACNP-BC), Acute Care NP-A Gerontology (ACNPC-AG), Neonatal NP (NNP-BC): Must have one of the following:
