Nurse Nuse (Elementary - Part-Time)

Job Description:

SUMMARY

The Woodbridge School District, a PK-6 school district of approximately 175 permanent active employees and approximately 865 students, is in need of a part-time school nurse to support and provide direct school nursing services as a member of the nursing team at Beecher Road School.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides direct school nursing services in adherence with federal and state statutes, health and safety regulations, and district policies and procedures
• Provides school nursing services for district students, employees, and visitors, including those related to required health assessments and immunizations
• Collaborates with district administrators, school staff, District Medical Advisor, and local health department in relation to health needs of the district, its students, and its staff

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Connecticut, with up-to-date CPR certification

Preferred:

• Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Full-time school health services experience

SALARY AND BENEFITS

This position is a part-time, school-year unaffiliated position. Salary is $44.78/hour and the work schedule is two-three days per week from 8:15 AM - 3:10 PM, approximately 7.10 hours per day.
