What you will do as an RN in our Inpatient Unit:
Provide skilled nursing assessments, interventions, and symptom management for hospice patients in the inpatient setting
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospice protocols
Monitor and document pain and symptom control while ensuring patient comfort and dignity
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized plans of care
Provide emotional support, education, and guidance to patients and families
Supervise CNAs and support the delivery of compassionate personal care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Participate in IDT meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing education
What we are looking for:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active Virginia RN license
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required (hospice, medical/surgical, or community health preferred)
Strong communication, organization, and clinical assessment skills
Comfort with EMR and technology
Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance
A heart for mission-driven, relational work with patients and families
Schedule & Compensation:
Schedule: Full-time Night Shift, 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Location: Inpatient Unit – Roanoke, VA
