Unit specific equipment: Vital sign and EKG machine (utilized by direct patient care members), laptop, Microsoft Teams. Skills required: Phone triage for above diagnoses, in-basket management, med refills, requests for paperwork from providers, etc.

About Facility:

• 1 Medical Blvd. Winston-Salem, NC. Located on 7th floor of the West Ardmore Tower in the Pediatric Clinic. This is a clinic located in the WFB hospital.

Unit Information:

1. Beds: 24 exam rooms
2. Census: around 3,000 patients per month for RN Navigators

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years clinic experience. Would prefer candidate who has Peds, GI, and/or Pulmonary experience, but not a firm requirement.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• This position is in-basket management and phone triage. This is not an in-person, patient-facing position.
• Children and adolescents up to 18 years old. This position will cover the GI and Pulmonary subspecialties
• GI: constipation, reflux, hyperemesis, EOE, IBD, Crohn s, celiac, blood in stool
• Pulmonary: asthma, bronchiolitis, vents/trachs, cystic fibrosis

Required License, National Certification, Certs:

• BLS

Skills required:

• Phone triage for above diagnoses, in-basket management, med refills, requests for paperwork from providers, etc. These are all established patients with this clinic.

Support within the Department:

• Manager/Supervisor
• MAs to room patients
• 3 other RN Navigators in the same office

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: Ambulatory EPIC - preferred
• Unit specific equipment: Vital sign and EKG machine (utilized by direct patient care members), laptop, Microsoft Teams

• Will be partnered closely with other RN Navigators throughout contract to orient
