A health services network on Long Island is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Immediate Care team in Suffolk County as a Nurse Manager. This leadership role blends clinical oversight, staff management, and operational coordination in a busy immediate care setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5:30pm
- Setting: Immediate Care Clinic
Responsibilities:
- Supervise clinical and support staff within the ambulatory care setting
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, staff development, clinical competencies, and performance evaluations
- Manage staffing operations and daily clinic workflow
- Triage patient phone calls and review laboratory results with appropriate follow-up communication
- Monitor patient flow, clinic utilization, and operational performance metrics while supporting quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare standards and partner with physicians, physician assistants, patients, and staff to address care and operational needs
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license
- Experience managing staff in a Healthcare environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Desired Skills:
- Advanced Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an Ambulatory Care, Outpatient Clinic, Urgent Care, and/or Physician Practice setting
- Triage background
- Knowledge of JCAHO, HIPAA, DOH, and OSHA standards
- Prior supervisory experience in a Healthcare setting
