Job Title: Nurse Manager of Surgical Services
Location: Arlington, TX
Shift: Mixed (Rotating Weekends)
Salary Range: $84,843.20 - $127,275.20 (Based on Experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Position Summary

The Nurse Manager of Surgical Services is responsible for overseeing the delivery of professional nursing care within the Operating Room. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing care for surgical patients. The Nurse Manager collaborates with the OR Educator to ensure ongoing staff education and development, maintains departmental policies and procedures, and ensures fiscal responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a 14-bed surgical unit with 60 FTEs.
  • Ensure high-quality, compassionate care for all surgical patients.
  • Collaborate with OR Educator for staff training and development.
  • Develop and implement department goals, objectives, and evaluation metrics.
  • Maintain and interpret policies and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between OR staff, administration, medical staff, and other departments.
  • Conduct performance appraisals in collaboration with unit leadership.
  • Participate in facility management team meetings.
  • Assist in operating and capital budget processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience in the Operating Room.
  • At least 2 years of acute care leadership experience in the OR.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact state.
  • BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in surgical nursing.
