The Nurse Manager is a hands-on perioperative leader responsible for helping Drainless Aesthetic Institute build and maintain a safe, efficient, compliant, high-performing cosmetic surgery program.
This is intended to be a working leadership role. The Nurse Manager will lead clinical operations while also being capable of providing qualified perioperative nursing coverage when operationally necessary.
The Nurse Manager will help create systems, develop staff, establish workflows, maintain readiness, monitor clinical quality, and build infrastructure appropriate for a growing startup surgical practice.
Provide day-to-day leadership for clinical and perioperative staff.
Coordinate clinical staffing and surgical schedules in partnership with the Office Manager RN.
Serve as a working perioperative RN when needed and qualified.
Develop and maintain clinical policies and procedures.
Create and maintain checklists and clinical workflows.
Coordinate employee clinical orientation.
Validate staff competency.
Monitor required licenses and certifications.
Coach and develop clinical team members.
Participate in interviewing and hiring clinical staff in an advisory/support capacity; final hiring authority is not assigned to this role.
Share disciplinary and employee performance-management responsibilities with the Office Manager RN.
Serve as Infection Preventionist in partnership with the Office Manager RN and maintain infection-prevention systems.
Maintain emergency preparedness procedures.
Coordinate emergency drills.
Monitor crash-cart and emergency equipment readiness.
Support medication-management procedures.
Support controlled-substance compliance processes under the oversight of the Doctors / CMO.
Coordinate equipment maintenance and readiness.
Monitor supply inventory.
Share purchasing authority with the Office Manager RN.
Maintain appropriate staffing for surgical cases.
Conduct or coordinate clinical chart reviews.
Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement.
Serve as Quality Coordinator in partnership with the Office Manager RN.
Serve as Safety/Risk Coordinator in partnership with the Office Manager RN.
Review clinical incidents.
Coordinate corrective actions when necessary.
Assist with AAAHC accreditation and regulatory readiness.
Maintain competency, education, and credentialing documentation.
Collaborate closely with the surgeon, anesthesia providers, administrative leadership, vendors, and clinical personnel.
Monitor case flow and operating-room efficiency.
Support patient safety and patient-experience initiatives.
Oversee and manage patient care coordinator responsibilities as assigned to support continuity of care and minimize patient-experience errors.
Identify clinical and operational risks and promptly escalate concerns.
Perform other leadership and clinical duties appropriate to the role.
Current, unrestricted Georgia RN license or Compact RN license
Minimum 3 years of operating room/perioperative experience, plus additional clinical background such as PACU, ICU, or inpatient care.
Minimum 2 years of management or leadership experience.
Current ACLS certification.
Strong clinical judgment.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices.
Knowledge of infection prevention.
Knowledge of emergency preparedness.
Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Ability to lead in an evolving startup environment.
Nurse Manager experience.
OR Manager experience.
Charge Nurse experience.
Ambulatory Surgery Center leadership experience.
Plastic or cosmetic surgery experience.
CNOR certification.
Experience opening or scaling a surgical facility.
Experience preparing for accreditation or regulatory surveys.
This position is expected to help build the clinical infrastructure, not simply maintain an established department.
The Nurse Manager should be comfortable creating systems where none exist, modifying processes when needed, training employees, solving operational problems, and assisting outside traditional management responsibilities when patient care or operations require it.
The position combines administrative leadership with hands-on clinical work and may require:
Prolonged standing.
Walking throughout the surgical facility.
Patient positioning and transfer assistance.
Moving clinical equipment.
Emergency response.
Exposure to normal perioperative clinical hazards.
