Job Title: Nurse Manager Psych
Location: Harahan, LA 70123
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Schedule: DAYS - 12HR (M-F and EOW)
Summary:
The Nurse Manager Psych is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a behavioral health facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to adult and adolescent patients. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and support a team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the behavioral health unit.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to adult and adolescent patients.
- Manage and support a team of healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
Required Skills:
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- 2 years of experience in a Behavioral Health (BH) facility, specifically in acute inpatient settings.
- Previous experience as a Nurse Manager is required.
- Ability to float between adult and adolescent units.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Certifications & Licenses:
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
