Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager II – Operating Room to lead clinical operations, patient care delivery, staff performance, and administrative functions within a 24/7 acute care hospital Main OR.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop nursing staff and leadership teams.
• Oversee OR patient care delivery, staffing, workflows, and resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, Nursing Practice Act, and state/federal regulations.
• Manage departmental budgets and operational performance.
• Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and process improvement initiatives.
• Drive staff development, training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support strategic planning, emergency preparedness, and operational projects.
• Use data and performance metrics to improve clinical and operational outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• BSN – Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Active California RN License
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 5 years of Main OR experience in an acute care hospital required experience
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare operations/clinical experience
• Minimum 4 years of leadership experience
• Hospital/healthcare system experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• MSN preferred
• CNOR preferred
• Operating Room/procedural specialty experience
• Experience with change management, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration
