Position Overview

The Judge Group is seeking an experienced and driven Nurse Manager to lead clinical and operational functions within a high-performing healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Operational Leadership

• Oversee daily operations of the assigned unit or service line, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality patient care
• Develop and implement workflows, policies, and processes that enhance efficiency and clinical outcomes
• Manage staffing plans, scheduling, and real-time adjustments based on patient volume and acuity
• Monitor patient satisfaction data and lead initiatives to improve overall experience

Financial & Resource Management

• Support budget planning and ongoing financial oversight for the department
• Analyze variances and implement corrective action plans as needed
• Ensure appropriate utilization of staff, equipment, and departmental resources

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts for nursing staff
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to team members
• Facilitate ongoing education, training, and professional development opportunities
• Promote a positive work environment that supports engagement and growth

Quality & Performance Improvement

• Drive quality improvement initiatives using clinical and operational data
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement action plans to address gaps
• Lead investigations related to incidents, patient concerns, and safety events
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards

Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and operational initiatives
• Communicate updates, priorities, and performance metrics to staff and leadership
• Participate in committees, councils, and organizational initiatives as needed

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience required
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities
• Experience with performance improvement and data-driven outcomes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High level of emotional intelligence and team-building capability

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• BLS certification required
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, leadership certification) preferred or required within a designated timeframe
