    Description

    A Nurse Manager of NICU RN opportunity is available at a 420+ bed women's and newborns' specialty hospital in Houston, TX. The hospital operates a Level IV NICU — the highest level of neonatal care — and is home to the area's only March of Dimes NICU Family Support program, delivering more than 800 babies per month.

    The role. Reporting to the Director, the Nurse Manager supports all NICU department activities by assisting in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care grounded in the nursing process. The manager provides direct clinical support to nursing staff and helps coordinate the department's participation in Performance Improvement and continuous Quality Improvement initiatives. A key focus of the position is ensuring that patient care across the Women's Services Units is assessed and adjusted on an ongoing basis to maintain standards consistent with a Level IV NICU environment.

    What we're looking for.

    • 2 plus years of experience in NICU required
    • Recent (within the last year) acute care NICU leadership experience required – Level 3 or 4 required
    • 2 plus years of management or Charge Nurse Experience required
    • BSN required
    • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 60 days of hire date)
    • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required

    Schedule. Full-time position requiring flexibility across multiple shifts including evenings (3 PM – 11 PM) and nights (7 PM – 7 AM), all of which include a weekend rotation and on-call requirement.

    Compensation. $45.79 - $68.00/hr plus $20,000 sign-on bonus
