This leader collaborates with the Director and medical staff to continuously assess and maintain the quality of patient care services delivered across all practitioner levels.

A 300+ bed hospital in Houston, TX is seeking a Nurse Manager of Emergency Services to lead its Emergency Department. The hospital is recognized as a Certified Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission and features a cardiac and critical care tower serving the West Houston community.

The role. Reporting to the Director, the Nurse Manager assumes full accountability for the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department. This leader collaborates with the Director and medical staff to continuously assess and maintain the quality of patient care services delivered across all practitioner levels. The Nurse Manager serves as a primary resource and educator for nursing staff, initiating and guiding the coordination of all unit functions. Clinical and operational decisions are made in alignment with established administrative, human resources, and nursing standards, with Director collaboration reserved for complex or unusual situations.

What we're looking for.

• 2 years of recent (within the last year) acute care ER leadership required; charge nurse experience in the ED may be considered
• BSN required
• (RN) Registered Nurse license required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Schedule. Days, Monday–Friday with flexibility.

Compensation. $42.04 - $63.05/hr plus Sign on: No Sign on Relocation assistance: Case by case
