    Nestled in the farmlands of Middlebury, VT, Helen Porter has accommodations for 98 residents, is licensed by the state of Vermont and certified by Medicare and Medicaid. Helen Porter is a skilled and intermediate care residence which specializes in providing a home-like environment. We are newly renovated with high ceilings, a beautiful courtyard with a water fountain, flowers, gardening, and pergolas, and circadian lights sparkling all throughout the facility.

    Job Description:

    The RN Nurse Manager is in charge of the Nursing Care of all residents on the units and the staff delegated by the Director of Nursing.


    Experience:

    • Two or more years of nursing experience in Long Term Care.
    • One year of administrative or supervisory experience.
    • Advance preparation in Unit Management and principles of supervision desirable.
    • Experience in the field as a professional nurse with supervising skills utilized.
    • Knowledge of and interest in field of geriatrics essential.
       

    Education:

    • Graduate from and accredited school of nursing (RN program).
    • Current license with Vermont State Board of Nursing.
