    NURSE MANAGER - LABOR & DELIVERY JOB OVERVIEW

    Seeking an experienced and collaborative Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery to provide leadership, operational oversight, and clinical management for a high-volume Labor & Delivery department within a comprehensive Women's & Children's service line.

    This leadership role is accountable for the overall management of assigned patient care units, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, operational excellence, staff engagement, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance. The Nurse Manager will work closely with nursing leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to drive quality initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and patient-centered care.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
    • Salary Range: $94,806 - $178,256 annually

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
    • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with commitment to obtain BSN within two years of hire
    Licensure & Certifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
    • Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
    Experience
    • Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
    • Management, Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Leadership experience required
    • Experience leading teams in an acute care hospital setting preferred
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Master's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field
    • Previous first-line management experience
    • Experience with quality improvement initiatives
    • Experience in staff recruitment, retention, and workforce development
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Operations
    • Provide clinical and operational leadership for Labor & Delivery services
    • Ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care delivery 24 hours per day
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve departmental goals
    • Support organizational mission, vision, and values through leadership practices
    Quality & Patient Safety
    • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
    • Monitor patient safety outcomes and quality metrics
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory, professional, and organizational standards
    • Promote evidence-based practices across the department
    Staff Development & Engagement
    • Recruit, hire, mentor, and retain nursing talent
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and professional development
    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment
    • Support continuing education and clinical competency development
    Patient Experience
    • Promote exceptional patient and family-centered care
    • Address patient concerns and advocate for positive outcomes
    • Support culturally responsive care and diversity initiatives
    • Participate in patient satisfaction and service excellence efforts
    Financial & Resource Management
    • Assist in budget planning and resource allocation
