Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, delegate, direct, negotiate, and evaluate ED services in support of hospital goals
  • Establish effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors
  • Collaborate with department management personnel for ED nursing functions and activities
  • Maintain effective communication
  • Develop and recommend policies, procedures, or programs to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of patient care
  • Manage staff, including supervisory positions
  • Prepare budgets
  • Manage physician relationships
  • Resolve operational and patient care issues
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary team

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Advanced degree preferred
  • Licensure: Current RN License in the State of Texas or compact license
  • AHA or ARC BLS provider required
  • AHA or ARC ACLS within 6 months
  • AHA or ARC PALS within 6 months
  • TNCC required within 18 months
  • ENPC or CEN within 18 months
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience including:
  • Management of staff, including supervisory positions
  • Budget preparation
  • Physician relationship management
  • Resolution of operational and patient care issues
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement
  • Coordination of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to perform diversified duties with time limitations and high degree of accuracy
  • Unit Details: 41 Wall Beds & 16 Hallway | FTEs: 35
