    Description

    A Nurse Manager of Emergency Services is needed at an 895+ bed tertiary care center with a full-service adult and pediatric hospital — including separate adult and pediatric emergency departments — located in Dallas, TX.

    The role. Reporting through nursing leadership, this position carries full accountability for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all services delivered within the Emergency Department. The Nurse Manager develops and recommends policies, procedures, and programs to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of patient care in collaboration with medical staff and other disciplines. This leader coordinates nursing care activities across the ED in conformance with recognized nursing standards and administrative policies, cultivates strong physician relationships, and oversees budget preparation and resolution of operational and patient care issues while leading a multi-disciplinary team.

    What we're looking for.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Advanced degree preferred
    • Current RN License in the State of Texas or compact license
    • AHA or ARC BLS provider
    • AHA or ARC, ACLS, and PALS within 6 months
    • TNCC is required within 18 months
    • ENPC or CEN within 18 months
    • Five years of progressive management experience to include: management of staff including supervisory positions, budget preparation, physician relationship management, resolution of operational and patient care issues, demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, and coordination of a multi-disciplinary team

    Schedule. Full-time, evenings, no weekends; shift start time 2 PM.

    Compensation. $51.17 - $51.17/hr plus $20,000 sign-on bonus
