    Nurse Manager Critical Care RN Florida

    Employment Type: Full-Time | Schedule: 7am-4pm (may stay late; 24/7 on-call responsiveness required) | Pay: $79,000 to $110,000/yr depending on experience | Sign-On Bonus: None | Relocation: Case by case

    Overview
    We are seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our ICU and PCU teams, overseeing 48 FTEs across 31 beds. This role ensures delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a culture of collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate drives nursing excellence, supports staff development, and positively impacts patient outcomes in a critical care environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership and accountability for safe, quality nursing care across ICU and PCU units.

    • Ensure compliance with nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

    • Coordinate continuity of care through interdisciplinary team collaboration.

    • Develop and implement programs to monitor and improve quality of care.

    • Ensure effective patient discharge planning, education, and community resource referral.

    • Maintain appropriate equipment, supplies, and patient care resources.

    • Participate in rounding and respond proactively to patient and staff needs.

    • Foster a patient-centered culture, promoting a healing environment.

    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team regarding patient care and progress.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Minimum 3 years recent ICU leadership experience in acute care.

    • Florida RN license or compact multistate RN license.

    • RN Diploma or Associate Degree (BSN preferred).

    • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of hire.

    • BCLS certification or BCLS Instructor within 30 days of hire.

    • ACLS certification or ACLS Instructor within 6 months of hire.

    • PALS or PALS Instructor within 6 months of hire.

    Preferred

    • Strong communication, proactive problem-solving, and team leadership skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and staff engagement.

    • Experience managing multiple critical care units and interdisciplinary teams.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary range: $79,000-$98,000 (10 years experience), $110,000 (15+ years)
